Elite  Edge  Training

Fighting Arts and Fitness
What does it mean to be fit? It means different things to different people at different times. Each person will require different areas of development. Most sedentary people need to work on basic body composition, endurance, strength, and flexibility while more conditioned persons need power and agility work. People who play sports or do physical work need exercise activities that support that work or sports practice. You should also be exercising and living a healthy lifestyle that leads to a prolonged and rewarding life.

"Get Fit!" Clinics

These are easy introductory classes that help men and women get the knowledge to get back into shape!  Revolving around the basic healthy information to lose weight, they also concentrate on nutrition and healthy lifestyle along with injury prevention and rehabilitation.  We instruct you in proper and safe exercise technique while showing you new ways of exercising that are good for you and your personality and lifestyle.  This is a great way to take that first step and get back into shape!

Personal Training

One-on-one training is the backbone of instruction and learning at Elite Edge Training. Most people don’t know much about fitness or physicality and it is very difficult to instruct the level of detail necessary in a group setting. Personal training is a safe and relaxed environment that will take a client through various stages of training and levels of intensity to get them closer to their goals.

We first start each person with an understanding of what their wholistic condition is (physical, mental, and emotional) and where they want to go (short- and long-term goals). We then design individualized plans for each person that will help them with their goals in a safe, effective, and efficient manner. Whatever your endeavor, we can help you maximize and streamline your efforts with personalized evaluations, fitness training, and sound nutritional counseling. Learn to be a healthier, more fit individual for the years to come!

We also offer activity specific training. Take your sport or martial art to the next level. By analyzing the movements of your activity or sport, we can design programs to make those movements stronger, faster, and more powerful while teaching your body to work together as whole.

Personal one-on-one coaching can be done at our facility, in your home, or at any place you desire. We now offer online personal training. You can train anytime and anywhere and we’ll be right there with you (online)!  Find out more!

Fitness Concepts and Goals

Many fitness and sports trainers will give you the same exercises for many different goals and to enhance many different activities. This is the wrong approach. You need to perform specific exercises to get a specific result. We will guide you along your journey and show you EXACTLY what exercises are best for you in your situation. As you meet your goals, you will be making new ones based on your new physique and physical abilities and we will help you with this change.

Body Composition
This is basically getting your body to an appropriate fat-to-muscle ratio and maintaining it. Obesity is probably one of the worst problems facing our society today. What happened to the lean lifestyles of our forefathers? Modern technology has made life easier by helping us do more without working as much and it has helped us mass produce foods that have lost most of their nutritional value. Our bodies have become soft and more susceptible to diseases. We will help you understand the best combination of activity, exercise, and nutritional habits that will help you lose weight and keep it off. We will also help you discover strategies to maintain your goals as your life and body changes. Losing weight is a hard battle for many people. The main reasons that most people don't make and keep their weight loss goals is usually because of negative thought patterns and misguided committment. Elite Edge Trainers will show you how to start thinking wholly positively about your goals and plans and how to get your efforts focused. This is truly a wonderful and powerful experience!

Strength
Strength is the ability to apply force in different ways. This is a very important part of everyone's life. Every athlete needs some kind of strength. We need strength in everyday life. Picking up children, taking heavy boxes off of shelves, or pushing a vehicle stuck in the mud are all common activities that require strength to perform correctly without causing injury. Strength can be developed using body weight or various devices such as weights or bands. We will show you the different kinds of strength that you need to develop and help you get your body back into balance. We will also show you how you need to change your training as your strength and your goals change.

Endurance
This is the ability to continue during work. Whether it's your workout or a sport or your job, you need different forms and levels of stamina and muscular endurance to finish your tasks each day. Your muscles need a specific type of conditioning to enhance your endurance. We will show you how to accomplish this easily in a short amount of time.

Agility
Agility is a developed ability to basically change direction quickly. This is a very necessary attribute for everyone. Most sports require some sort of agility. We even need it to dodge out of a cyclist's path or to play a game of tag with our children. Senior citizens even need certain amounts of agility to recover from a fall. We all need to be agile in some way. Elite Edge Training will help you understand the different types of agility that you require depending on your unique circumstances.

Power
Strength is measured my how much force you can exert. Power is how you apply that strength and how fast you can exert the force. It's one thing to be able to move a 50 lb weight in five seconds and quite another to be able to explode the weight in a half second. This is a forgotten method of training unless you are an athlete but it is exciting and it can give you dynamic results in a short amount of time.
