Fighting Arts and Fitness
What is GOSHIN or GOSHINJUTSU?   Goshinjutsu is a Japanese term meaning "protection arts."  This is a unique class that takes techniques and tactics from our traditional classes and puts them into a training context similar to law enforcement and military training. No uniforms. No bowing. Learn effective fighting in this no-nonsense class in a short amount of time. All participants need to be of the appropriate maturity level.

Why Not Learn The Simple Things That Will Keep
You And Your Family Safe.....NOW!

This part of the training includes but is not limited to:
• Confrontational/combative psychology in attacker/victim scenarios
• High-stress situational training
• Realistic close quarter striking and grappling
• Weapons training that includes various impact and edged weapons •
Basic pistol combat control and employment
• Multiple-attacker training
• Third-person and group protection

Military and law enforcement personnel find that this superbly complements their current training. Civilians of both genders and all ages find that this is the best, most realistic, and supportive training they can find to help with their self-protection goals. This is the best defensive training you can find. A lot of our traditional martial arts students enjoy this different way of doing the same techniques found in their regular classes. Combatives students also find that cross-training in the traditional classes refine and sharpen their skills. These two programs support each other very well.

Self-Defense Workshops & Clinics
Elite Edge Training offers special self-protection seminars and workshops based on our Combatives program. We do customized and specific classes for interested groups.

Most workshops revolve around:
• awareness training
• assertive body language
• identifying dangerous situations
• understanding attacker and victim actions, motivations, and responses
• basic defensive and evasion techniques
• planning for legal aftermath
• stress scenarios
• dispatching self-defense myths

Our training revolves around a realistic understanding of an attacker’s mindset and how it interrelates to the victim. This is important because each group we present to has unique self-defense needs. Teen girls are attacked differently than teen boys. Women are attacked differently than men. The elderly have different needs and capabilities than people in their thirties. Customized training ensures that each group we teach understands the overall concepts of protection and receives the most focused and relevant training.

Youth training usually also involves safety training for everyday life and it can also address bullying. We make the instruction fun while simultaneously putting the children in possible conflict situations and teaching them and drilling them in the correct responses. This type of training can mean the difference between a child making it home safely after school with only a scary story to tell or maybe not seeing them again. It’s scary but it is also reality.

We are dedicated to making sure this is not your reality. We have received very positive feedback from schools, law enforcement, military (yes, we train family members while their loved ones are deployed), religious organizations, and corporations for these sessions. There is no finer or more practical training in self-protection training. Police and other self-defense instructors say that this is some of the best instruction that they have experienced and that everyone should go through at least our Level 1 fundamental course. Just contact us and we can set up a customized program for your organization.
